How to Use the Route Planner

Get driving directions, distance, and travel time using GapMapper, based on OpenRouteService and OpenStreetMap data.

Enter your starting point and destination anywhere in the world in the fields above. Use the auto-suggestions for best results.
Optionally, check the boxes to avoid motorways or toll roads.
Click the "Calculate Route" button.
View the calculated route displayed on the map, marked with start (S) and end (E) points.
See the total distance and duration above the map.
Follow the step-by-step driving instructions provided below the summary.
Use the layer control in the top-right corner of the map to switch between map styles.

Note: Travel times are estimates and routes avoiding motorways or tolls may be longer. The maximum supported route distance is approximately 6000 km (3700 miles).
